After a frustrating 0-0 draw at the beginning of the season between these two sides this time Blues shone. Lewes and former Blues boss Scott Booth had to endure a Jade Pennock masterclass who Booth signed for Blues . Blues also gave a debut to Olivia Mcloughlin.
FIRST HALF
There wasn’t a lot to shout about in the first half but blues were ruthless up front the first chance came in the 13th minute when a Siobhan Wilson shot from a free kick landed on the roof of the net.
Two minutes later the breakthrough came when Claudia Walker delivered a great cross and super Jade was their to turn it home .
Blues doubled the lead in the 45th minute through the same combination. Walker delivered into Jade and she finished it from a tight angle, a great finish and great way to end the first half.

SECOND HALF
Blues started the second half as they finished off the first. Jade almost got her hat trick in the 60th minute When Siobhan Wilson free kick came to her but her attempt just dropped wide of the post .
10 minutes later it was three when super sub Lucy Quinn scored after Jades shot was blocked .
The goal of the game came at the end from Jade Pennock, she cut in from the left hand side and shot from outside of the area what a finish to gain her hat trick.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
A ruthless performance from the ladies in royal blue which was great to see after disappointment against Sunderland. This was also the performance we wanted to see ahead of the big game next weekend against London City Lionesses. A win and we close the gap to within 2 points. I thought the team maybe a little downbeat after last wee, but that group is made of strong stuff.
PLAYER OF THE GAME
One person, Super Jade Pennock a magnificent performance from her and continuing her scoring streak with 4 goals in two games. Special mention also goes to Claudia Walker who with two great assists is showing why blues brought her to the club. Jade should be proud of herself for showing composure in front of goal and her assists, in my opinion she is my player of the season so far.
