The highs, the lows and of course the support

So another weekend has passed and as the anthem states we had Joys and sorrows. Saturday started with the march for Arthur. Over 1000 fans taking to the streets from Birmingham city centre, through Digbeth and all the way to St Andrews pausing on one occasion in-front of a giant billboard. Tears were shed, voices heard and flowers laid by the Kop entrance as fans came together as one big family to show that Arthur was loved.

It didn’t stop there though, In the ground the giant flag was for all to see in the lower Kop area and the family stand was renamed to Arthurs area. Then came the 6th Minute, 60 seconds of applause, singing of Arthurs name and all of this after the referee had paused the game for players to join in. I am really proud to be part of this big #Bluesfamily

Arthur would have loved the 1st half of play with 2 great goals. Typically conceding 2 in the second half. The result whilst upsetting did not take the shine off what was ultimately Arthurs Day.

Light a Candle

Things have not finished yet though. On Wednesday 15th December a Candle Light Vigil will be held on the Kop Car Park lead by Tom Ross. The vigil will start at 6.06 and candles will be available for a minimum donation of 50p. All funds raised/donations collected at the event will go to Childline to help support other vulnerable children across the country. Please support us to support them and join us on Wednesday evening.

As a father it breaks my heart to think of the terrible set of events that lead to Arthurs passing. I hope that there will be learns from this. Thank you to each and everyone of you that joined in whether that be the March, the applause or by donating. Remember people are there to help and if you have any concerns about anything or anyone then please report it. Together we can all make a difference

RIP Arthur
