KAREN HILLS DOES IT AGAIN WITH BRADLEY ON SONG AGAINST A POOR BLUES

Yet again Karen Hills gets one over Blues Women has there defeat us 0-1 this afternoon at StAndrews@KnightheadPark there showed the grit and determination to become champions for Blues we looked out of sorts this afternoon are tempo was lacking and there was no urgency in are play but when we did found a way through goal the brilliant Sophie Whitehouse was in top form. Amy brought back into the squad Lily Crosthwaite with Veatriki Sarri up at top and Lucy Thomas kept her place in goals.
FIRST HALF
The first opportunity of the game was for Blues when Oceane Hurte dragged her shot wide of the goal in the first minute.
In the 5th minute Charlton had their first opportunity when Lucia Lobato header was saved from Lucy Thomas.
But two minutes later Charlton Athletic took the league when Katie Bradley took a shot and Lucy Thomas let the ball past her a really poor goal to conceded.
The next chance was for Blues when the only player who deserves any credit from today’s poor display Lily Crosthwaite shot strung the hands of former Blues goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse in the 11th minute.
Then back came Charlton Athletic when Karin Muya’s right foot shot was saved from Lucy Thomas in the 12th minute.
Then a brilliant opportunity for Blues in the 23rd minute when Rebecca Holloway shot from outside the box just passed the top corner.
The last major chance of the first half was for Blues when Chelsea Cornet’s shot from outside the box misses the left-hand post.

The first chance of the second half was a shot from Veatriki Sarri which was saved from Whitehouse in the 63rd minute.
Then in the 67th minute a Chelsea Cornet shot goes wide of the left-hand post.
Then it was Oceane Hurte turn to have an attempt on goal but her shot went over the bar in the 71st minute.

From the following corner a great header from Martha Harris brought out the best out of Sophie Whitehouse tipping it out of the top hand corner a brilliant save from Whitehouse in the 76th minute.
Martha Harris had another attempt in the 81st minute but this time her shot went over the bar.
The last chance of the game came for Blues when a Christie Harrison-Murray header went wide of the goal in the 92nd minute.
FULL TIME BLUES WOMEN 0-1 CHARLTON ATHLETIC
MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
I said this to my dad at the end of the game you can have all the possession in the world but it means for nothing Charlton were structurally better than us and always carried a threat on the blues goal the only stat what matters is Blues Women 0-1 Charlton Athletic and that’s all that matters it’s about winning . These three points could in hindsight give Charlton the Championship and yes, we are in November but ever point is a prisoner and yet again Karen Hill has masterminded another Addicks side that Blues cannot beat. But there are more questions than answers to talk about I think Adrianna Franch should have played in this game I think she is more commanding in her area and the goal we conceded today was comical Lucy is a quality goalkeeper, but her confidence is all over the place remember it wasn’t that long ago she was on standby for England and I always will back Lucy she has saved us on many occasions but I think for the Forest game we need AD to be that commanding presence in are goal in a huge game for us at the City Ground next Monday Night. On the Substitutions I didn’t understand why are top goalscorer in Batcheba Louis didn’t came on we needed a goal, and you bring on Shannon Cooke it made no sense to me. It was just one of those days but one thing I always been impressed under Amys management is when we do have a setback, we respond brilliant and hopefully we will see that on the 10th of November.
MY PLAYER OF THE MATCH
I have to go for Sophie Whitehouse the save of Martha Harris header was a match winning save.
