Blues Women travel up to Humberside to face Chris Hames Hull City Ladies who we will play in the fourth round of the competition for the first time in there history.
MATCH PREVIEW
Blues will be playing their first game of 2026 after their game with Newcastle was postponed. Amy are coming of an brilliant 3-0 victory over Durham with a goal of the season contender from a beautiful free kick from Veatriki Sarri just before half time then two goals in quick succession after the break when former wildcats player Lily Crosthwaite riffling it home from close range by a defection from Grace Ayre and then a beautiful free kick from Oceane Hurte landed on the head of Chelsea Cornet to make it 3-0 Blues and made it a comfortable day for Amy & the girls. But one of the great sights after the game was Lily Agg back with the team following her ACL injury and looks like she be back in a Blues shirt hopefully next month which is great news.
For Chris Hames Hull City side have made history reaching the fourth round for the first time in the club’s history after beating Mancunian Unity goals from a lovely dink from Hope Knight and Jessica Tugby-Andrew got the tigresses ‘the win in a 2-1 win. Like us Hull have been frustrated with postponements against the Baggies and Sporting Khalsa who we beat in the third round 6-0 so I think the game on Sunday will be tight cause the lack of match fitness and I know both teams will go for it. Hull are seventh in the FA Women National League North Table with those two games in hand .
MY THREE PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
My first player is forward Hope Knight who is a club legend scoring her 100th goal against Mancunian Unity we need to be aware of her.
My second player is Jessica Tugby-Andrew who also scored in the last round she is a defender but we have to be aware of her from set pieces.
And my third player is another forward Izzy Gigg a really good player will give are back line a run for there money.
