BLUES WOMEN V NOTTINGHAM FOREST WSL2 PREVIEW WITH HOLLY FROM FOREST WOMEN CAST

A bit of different match preview this week has I spoken to my good friend Holly from the Forest Women Cast we talk about how forest play, Holly’s player to watch, her overall thoughts on the season, the fans thoughts on Carly Davies and her score prediction for Sunday’s game. Hope you enjoy it.

WHAT FORMATION DOES CARLY PLAY

Carly tends to switch between four or three at the back, two in midfield and a fairly free roaming role for Chaney Boye – Hlorkah and Deanne Rose up front / on the wings with a out and out striker.

This was Aimee Claypole until she got a serious ankle injury against Brighton in the cup.

We would imagine ex Birmingham player Charlie Wellings will start in her place on Sunday having scored in our last game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Stand out players so far are Chaney Boye – Hlorkah who is an incredibly talented winger / striker. When she plays well – Forest win, it’s as simple as that. Deadly in wide areas and has an incredible work rate all over the pitch.

The other is Rachel Rowe – an incredible engine in the centre of the park. Tenacious, physical and incredibly hard working. The cog that gets us ticking.

WHAT IS YOUR OVERALL THOUGHTS ON THE SEASON

We’ve had a decent season so far. It’s taken time to gel with so many new players but it’s a case of building slow and steady at Forest.

Sitting comfortably in mid table. Only issues have been our home form where we’ve definitely underperformed. But seem to really shown up on the road.

WHAT ARE THE FANS THOUGHTS  ON CARLY DAVIES

On the whole would say Carly has the fans backing. She has faced criticism from some supporters for her team selection and ‘ghosting’ a few of our older players. A few bad results haven’t helped her case, but I’d say she’s achieved so much since being appointed and is still a young coach learning in the job.

SCORE PREDICTION

Hollys prediction is 2-2

THE LAST TIME  WE MET

We met back on the 10th of November at the City Ground were we won 0-3 with goals from a brace for Veatriki Sarri and Batcheba Louis got us the three points.
