A POINT A PIECE AT THE VALLEY AS BLUES DROP POINTS

Like in my preview if you offer me a point at the beginning of the game i bite your hands off but how we conceded the goal from Mel Filis in the 91st minute it feels like two points dropped and with London Citys 4-0 win over Sheffield United and got their game in hand still against Newcastle United next weekend to play it could mean it could go down to the final game of the season but what Amy says its one game at a time and there is still plenty of football to play. Amy made two changes from the win over the saints bringing back into the starting with Ivanna Fuso & Rebecca Mckenna.
FIRST HALF

The first chance of the game came for Blues when Choe Yuri’s great cross found Lee, but her effort went wide of the post in the 3rd minute.
Then in the 11th minute a great move from Blues and Lee pulled the ball back for Ivanna Fuso but her back heel was easily gathered by Whitehouse.
Then two minutes later Blues took the lead when all credit goes to Choe Yuri who came in from the wing towards the centre of the goal and found Lee wide open and placed it brilliantly pass Sophie Whitehouse to make 0-1 to the girls in royal blue.

Then in the 16th minute Simonne Magill shot was easily saved from Whitehouse.
Then in the 24th minute a brilliant ball in from the inform Becks Holloway found the head of Emily Van Egmond but her effort was straight at Sophie Whitehouse.
The last chance of the first half came for Charlton who had their first opportunity of the game when Brazil laid it off brilliantly to find Jodie Hutton who then run it into the box and her shot was welled saved from Adrianna Franch.
HALF TIME CHARLTON 0-1 BLUES WOMEN
SECOND HALF
The first chance of the second half came for the host when a run from Elisha Ndow from the corner of the area but her shot went well wide

Then Blues first chance of the second was when a Quinny Corner was delivered it found its way to Cooke who down laid it off to Harrison-Murray but her shot went well wide in the 53rd minute.
Then in the 66th minute Fuso found some space in the box, but her effort was easily saved by Whitehouse.
But then in the 91st minute the sucker punch and to be fair Charlton deserve it for there second half performance when Gloria Siber went on a mazee run passing a couple of Blues players who then found Mel Filis who found the bottom corner, but I think AD would be disappointed in that goal.
Charlton were pushing for the winner and there could have got in the last chance of the game when a free kick on the edge of the box up steeped Jodie Hutton and her free kick was brilliantly saved from Adrianna Franch to tipped it behind for a corner.
FULL TIME CHARLTON WOMEN 1-1 BLUES WOMEN
MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
Amy and her gang of Blues women would feel deflated this evening after dropping those two points in the manor that we conceded that goal would have angered Amy and her team, but Blues should have got at least 2 before half time especially Simone’s chance but was easily saved from Whitehouse. But against a Karen Hills said there is always quality in them and the run from Siber to find Mel Filis was quality on their side and frustrating on are part. But at the end of the day, it was a fair result and its simple for us we have to win all three games to get promoted and I believe in Amy and the team if it’s not this year then it will come but for our sakes let’s hope it’s this year. Like I said there will be plenty of twists and turns to come in the last few games of the season. I believe in Amy on her in game management tactics and knowledge of the game and next to Scott Booth I was so excited with the appointment unlike Booth i think AM will get the time but like i said there will be plenty of twists and turns from now to the end of the season.
MY PLAYER OF THE MATCH
I have to go for Choe Yuri I think the quality on her crossing was superb today and what she has done both on and off the ball was brilliant and she is adapting really well now to the physicality of the league now.
