CHARLTON WOMEN VS BLUES WOMEN PREVIEW

Amy and the girls in royal blue travel down to South-East London to face Karren Hills Charlton Athletic Side who have made a remarkable turnaround sitting in third place and if there win their can go into second place yet again Karen is working her magic for the Addick’s amazing their last defeat came in November  against Bristol City  The Addick’s have been an unbeaten run of  seven games in the league and looking to make it eight on Sunday. For Amy she is looking to do a first for Blues on Sunday in the league that is and that’s getting are first win over Charlton Athletic.  Also, off the pitch Blues recruit World Cup Winner Adrianna Franch to strengthen the Goalkeeper Union another brilliant piece of recruiting from Hope Powell.

MATCH PREVIEW

Blues are looking for their fifth Championship win in a row, and I think this will their biggest challenge of the Amy Merricks reign to get are first win over Charlton since are relegation from the WSL . Blues needed there show their guts and commitment and more importantly their quality to get anything out of Karen Hills side. Last time out Blues got there fourth win in a row by beating Southampton at St Andrews@knightheadpark goals from the penalty spot from Simone Magill & a Choe Yuri header got Blues still at the top of the mountain but the person who deserves so much credit this season is Rebecca Holloway she has come on leaps and bounds since Amy has come into the club. But let’s hope we don’t have a repeated like last season performance when we lost 3-1 in a disappointing  display which ended up with Darren Carter leaving the club by mutual consent.

For Karen Hills whose Addicks side are coming into form at the right time of the season with consistent performances from Ellie Brazil & Katie Bradley both getting six goals this season are players need to be on their game more than ever. Last time out for them was a good point against Stephen Kirby’s Bristol City side at Ashton Gate with Ellie Bradley getting the important after Ellie Brazil scored a own goal just before half time.

If you ask me if I take a point before kick off I bite you hands especially are record at the valley.

PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR

The first is former Blues player Ellie Brazil who is always a tricky customer with her pace but also her quality on the ball too.

The second is Katie Bradley who got her six goal of the season last week in the draw against Bristol City and will give it her all in a Charlton shirt.

And the third is Karin Muya who has scored three goals and assisted twice.
