Most frustrating football match I’ve watched for many years

We are too arrogant we play like our opponents are beneath us..our defence is sloppy and what’s the purpose of procession when you don’t hurt the opposition.we need a change in tactics

Luckily for me as I work for Shrewsbury and Telford hospitals and Shrewsbury are my adopted second team and I do follow them, it’s not as bitter of a pill to swallow as the rest of the fan base.

But for me it’s a wake up call for our manager to stop playing Stansfield and Alfie out of their natural positions. And also this possession football as good as it is needs to be reverted in games when it’s not working and we go more direct.

At the moment we are too predictable teams are parking the bus as they know it’s working and we can’t break these type of teams down.

Defending alot to be desired, players not comfortable with positions and no plan B. We move onto Tuesday against Exeter and need to see a bounce

Becoming frustratingly predictable. Undone by set plays and more direct opposition again and yet we have no answer to it. This should be a wake-up call. Need more physicality and endeavour and to mix things up a bit – having lots of possession in front of oppositions with little biting edge isn’t worrying opposition.

J & may don’t work don’t care what anyone says,4 in 4 may as a striker where he gets his goals,playing him like Harry Kane in midfield ! Waste half the game passing instead of getting at teams with the players we have.
Can’t defend when under pressure.will be setbacks,love Davies but he needs to take a serious look at this possession & no shots crap.
He promised us entertaining football,that’s seeing a keeper make saves.

3 points from 9 and even Sutton Utd could outthink Davis on tactics. 80% possession and 5 shots on target is useless. Two weeks rest and it looked like the players have been on the drink. The managers lack out experience was totally exposed by Ainsworth today. May must start at 9 next game, as Stansfield has not been right in that position from the day he arrived. Davis only has a few games left with Mark Robins available

It was definitely not good enough today but they are signs again today we lack the killer punch. We are not moving the ball quickly enough and we don’t seam to have our strikers in the right place at the right time.

My honest opinion davies got it so wrong today dykes and Leonard should have started and there are some games where you have to play ugly go long pick up 2 nd ball today was one of those games,bielik needs to be taken out the firing line hopefully davies will come in I assume hes not fit I also prefer Gardner Hickman to laird,cochrane we have to find ways to get him forward more our most consistent player, a and the stansfield may dilemma I don’t know but it needs sorting as may is proven at this level,hopefully these few games are a blip

Need to start Alfie at No9, Thor at 10, and Jay on the other side. Also need TGH in the starting lineup. Just knew the Shrews new manager bounce would kick us in the teeth. Trouble is our play is so predictable now and other teams know what to do to undo us. We need to mix things up.

Probably our worst performance of the season.
We looked disjointed in defence and lacking in ideas whenever we got forward.
Hopefully we’ll put this performance behind us starting with the next game at Exeter.

Chronic defending. Klarer and Davies were playing so well together. Why on earth would he change that? Bielik is a holding midfielder he’s not a natural centre half.

That was absolutely awful
Are we going into each match so arrogant that we think we have won before we kick a ball?
As for the team selection and the substitutes, im baffled.
Just look at the 11 on the pitch at the end, that was desparation in my book.

Im not gonna slag anyone off on here or anywhere else but as I see it the same mistakes are happening week in and week out

For me and I am in no way a league manager but you don’t buy the most prolific striker in this league there has been for 3 years and don’t play him as your out and out number 9

I would replace Laird with Gardner Hickman

My forward four would be Stanfield on the right, Willamson in the middle as a 10 and Yokoyama on the left

Play simple quick football and score goals, slow the play down once that’s happened and then play your possession football

I don’t like playing out from the back unless there’s no pressure to do so so we need to use the width from the back a lot more

In Gardner Hickman and Cochrane we have the two best wing backs / full backs in the league who are comfortable on the ball

Williamson is the best 10 in the league by a country mile

Stanfield can drift in off either wing and score goals, case in point last season

He played more like an 8 (TF) from either left or right scoring goals against Southampton away and Plymouth at home, either side of the box

If you’re gonna get the best from him make the formation less rigid so wider players cross over, Man City if you will

The football being played right now is far too slow and predictable because teams sit off us to not allow the spaces to open up but when you are 2 nil up then that’s perfect.

Stop letting the opposition get at you by retaining the ball in silly areas, that’s more ok if you are 2 nil up

If you concede a goal in that period then so what, but be far enough out of reach in the first 30 minutes of every game

All this Was working in the first few games and if we went behind so what

All of a sudden we can’t outscore the opposition
