So on Monday we are bringing you a true Blue who not only had passion on the pitch but also continues to show it off the pitch now. Tilton Talk is bringing you Paul Tait.

Born on 31st July 1971 in Sutton Coldfield, Paul went on to have more than 250 professional appearances. Paul started in football as a striker before moving into midfield where he excelled and made his debut aged 16. Paul’s debut against Leeds at the end of the 87-88 season was before he had even signed professionally.

Paul went on to make 170 appearances scoring 14 goals during that time. During his playing time Paul made history scoring the 1st ever golden goal at Wembley and lets not forget that T-Shirt. This reportedly cost Paul 2 weeks wages but also had the owners at the time drooling at the idea of merchandise 🙂

The notorious T-Shirt

We heard a few stories from Ricky Otto when he joined us on Tilton Talk and am sure that Taity will have a few stories to tell is in return

Leighton Webster Fan Cam this week ?

On Monday we welcome long time friend of the show and owner of Garrison Coffee Company Lee Malin. Lee’s 1st game was the 77-78 season which Blues lost 4-1. This didn’t stop Lee though and he went on to become hooked.

I still remember that game and the pop/crisps outside the Garrison before kick off, that’s why I named his business after it.

Lee is a season ticket holder of over 30 years after getting first one during his last year at school.

We asked Lee to name his best ever game, Favourite players and flavour of pies –

It was to tough to select just 1, however the Carling Cup Final ( Obviously), Worthington Cup Final v Liverpool, Leyland Daf Final, Auto Windscreens Final and the 1st Premier League game against the Vilers on that memorable Monday night to name but a few.
My favourite players are Paul Tait and Martin Grainger which is why my son’s 2 middle names are Tait Grainger.

Favourite manager was Barry Fry without a doubt and favourite pie flavour was the minced beef and mushy pea pie they did years ago

Join us at 730 Monday night for more funbelievable frivolity and great stories on the one and only Tilton Talk Show.
