The guests have continued to flow this season. We have started with some great guests, Andy Walker, Wade Elliott, Mat Sadler and ended before the international break with Conner Tierney. We are back :-)
has done well at the Olympics š oh and there was some football tournament that apparently England did well in.
The season to come
just a couple of weeks from the season starting and boy has it been a strange but busy summer. We have had change at the club with a new structure in place and new backroom staff joining. Some great new additions along with some departures. Oh and who can forget some international competition where new records were set by an Ex Blue š
55 Years In The Making!
Who would have thought at Euro 96 when all of us belted out ā30 years of hurtā that it would take nearly double that time frame again?
On Sunday 11th July @ Wembley Stadium, KO 20.00hrs I will be watching England in the final of a major tournament.
And Then One Night In Rome…
Letās set our stall out early with this blog like the England team did on Saturday night, itās time to get excited isnāt it!
Itās taken a while for the whole nation to really get behind this team and this Manager, he and they will always divide opinion but after the game on Saturday evening the whole nation and even biggest critics must have stood up an applauded.
āThat momentā
Nothing I am about to write will fully do justice to Tuesday night. I know this isnāt the ideal opening line of a blog, but it is the truth. Tuesday night was one of those forever moments that you donāt get very often in life and even less so in when following a sport.
As I sit here at 4pm on Thursday, nearly 48 hours since I entered Wembley knowing the Tilton Talk Team need me to write something, Iām truthfully at a loss.
What a 12 months for Tilton Talk
Whatever we chose to discuss on the show we did it with the usual mix of unique blues fans humour, passion and devotion to the cause. It has been the perfect tonic for blues fans who have watched and listened over the past 11 seasons….(the brainchild of Chris ‘Mrs’ Browne).
One Nil⦠To the England!
For those who have taken an interest in these blogs you will know that in my pre-tournament blog I stated the following:
āWe know what we are getting with Southgate, he is a defensive minded coach with a āletās not lose the gameā mentality. He seeās Englandās strengths as a counter attacking team as opposed to a team who can play on the front foot. As a Nation we hope that he takes the shackles off and that he lets this young team just go out and express themselves, playing football as if they were that young lad playing on the playground.
Accessiblues go from strength to strength.
Accessiblues have announced their nomination for Charity of the year at the MBCC ( Britain’s Multicultural Business & Community Champion) awards. We have reviewed the past 12 months work by Accessiblues and they have been busy.
Same old England !
How do I even begin to dissect the game on Friday? To be honest I am still in shock with how bad England played! Weāre we that bad? Weāre Scotland good? Is it a combination of both? 3 days on and Iām still as angry and dis-illusioned today as I was after the final whistle on Friday night.
