A professional performance from Amy and the girls in tough conditions at Westleigh Park Saturday evening has Blues continue to push into the WSL has there made comfortable work against Portsmouth who are lacking in confidence with back-to-back four nil losses. Goals from a brace Greece International Veatriki Sarri Lily Crosthwaite and a debut goal in a Blues shirt for are record signing Wilma Leidhammar made it a great night for Amy the girls and more importantly the fans that travel down there this evening and cementing our place in second and three points ahead of Bristol City. Amy gave two league debuts for Shanade Hopcroft & Lotta Lindstrom.
FIRST HALF
Ther first chance of the game was for Blues when Lily Crosthwaite cross was almost diverted home from Pompey player Hannah Coan put it went out for a corner in the 14th minute.
But in the 23rd minute Blues took the lead when a low cross from Rebecca Holloway found its way to Veatriki Sarri who placed it pass Jess Gray to make it 0-1 to the blues.
Six minutes later Blues doubled the lead when Neve Herron put Lindstrom through on goal and her cross found Lily Crosthwaite who tapped it home to make 0-2 to Blues Women a great first half for Amy’s team.

At half time Amy made a substitute when Chelsea Cornet came off for a debut for Wilma Leidhammar.
And the first chance of the second half was the third goal for Blues Women when Lily Crosthwaite played the ball into Wilma Leidhammar whose touch played in Veatriki Sarri who rounded Jess Gray to finish it off and got her ninth league goal of the season in the 52nd minute.
In the 60th minute Blues thought there made it 0-4 when Lily Crosthwaite played the ball into Wilma Leidhammar whose shot was brilliantly saved from Gray but it rebounded to Lindstrom who tapped it home but was chalked off for offside.
In the 78th minute a Rebecca Holloway shot goes wide of the post.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
Like I said it was professional performance from Amy & the girls there all fighting for the badge and that’s all we want as fans. Let’s took about Veatriki Sarri since she has come back to the club she has been sensational her quality on the ball is immense I was absolutely gutted when she left us the first time because if we could have kept her for one season in the WSL2 I think we would have got promoted but she is back and leading the WSL2 goalscoring table with 7 goals and long may that continue. And yes, of course Lily Crosthwaite, she always gives her all and I can see her winning the WSL2 player if the season when there are announced at the end of the season. Another positive is Wilma Leidhammar getting off the mark and she looks like an amazing talent for us. And another positive is are goal difference in the scoring bracket which is better then Charlton & Bristol City it could come down to that and lets hope not it comes to the last game of the season against Charlton at the Valley cause are record has we know is shocking.
MY PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Veatriki Sarri she was sensational today her goals were quality and her all-round performance was top class.
