MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME

Like I said a really disappointing day for Amy and the girls and shows how far the class is between the WSL & the WSL2 teams are but what was so disappointing about today’s performance we didn’t trouble the Spurs goalkeeper we had 10 shots but none on target which must have frustrated Amy. Yes we are not out of the Subway League Cup but what worries me if we get into the WSL we need to have an overhaul of players coming in at times today it was all too easy for Spurs yes we huffed and puffed but no end quality at the end of it the best for us came for Ava Baker in the first half in the 28th minute. For Spurs like I said in my preview there are my dark horses to get into those Champions league Spots and Martin Ho has done a brilliant job since he has taken over since his arrival from SK Brann in the summer . And this Spurs side have now got the quality has well in Olivia Holdt who I picked has one of my players to watch and she was outstanding today both of her goals were quality. For Blues we need to bounce back after the international break against a team who we haven’t beaten since are relegation from the WSL in Karen Hills Charlton Athletic who are top of the tree. And of course, we have to congratulate Lucy Quinn who made her 147-appearance overtaking Laura Bassett and becoming the third most appearance player for Blues Women in the modern era a huge congratulations Lucy.

MY PLAYER OF THE MATCH

Olivia Holdt she was amazing this afternoon, and her first goal was class.
