TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V BLUES WOMEN SUBWAY LEAGUE CUP PREVIEW

Blues travel down to Brisbane Road this Sunday to face Martin Ho’s Lilywhites in what should be a great game. Spurs are coming off a 0-1 defeat to Chelsea with Kiera Walsh getting the winner in the 61st minute. For Amy it was a great response from the disappointment of losing to Southampton by beating newly promoted Ipswich Town 0-4 goals from a first in a blues shirt from Chelseas Cornet Oceane Hurte Batcheba Louis & Martha Harris made it a comfortable afternoon in Colchester.
MATCH PREVIEW
Both teams are on the same points in the league table, and both are coming off two penalty wins with use over Bristol City winning 4-3 in the shootout & Spurs winning 7-6 over Aston Villa. So, it’s all to play for if Blues can get anything out of Sundays game our defence needs to be rock solid coming up against their strike force of Bethany England & Cathinka Tandberg. When we do get into those final thirds on Sunday, we need to be clinical it will be interesting who Amy will go with in the forward line. And also how strong the line-up will be has well we have got a good enough squad to compete in this round robin tournament and if we come out of this unscathed we have got a brilliant chance to qualifier for the quarter finals but there is plenty of football yet to be played and the spurs fans will be thinking the same as us.
I think Martin Ho has done an impressive job at Spurs so far and his side are currently in 4th place in the WSL and the team are full of quality and were one of my dark horses to get into the top four and it would be great to see another name competing in those top spots for a chance.
PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
The first player I’m going for is Bethany England is a player I got so much respect for in and around that penalty box she will be lethal it will be a huge challenge for are defence to keep her quiet.
My second player I’m going for is another forward for Spurs and its Cathinka Tandberg who has scored three times & assisted once and is becoming one of Spurs most key players this season.
And the third is Olivia Holdt who has already netted twice this season and the Danish centre midfielder is full of quality on and off the ball.
