  • BLUES RING THE CHANGES AND ITS GOALS, GOALS, GOALS

When we were approaching the transfer window the cry was to improve our firepower and add a bit of guile to the midfield. So, the guy in charge, Craig Gardener, set about doing just that. In came Lyle Taylor, Juninho Bacuna, Onel Hernandez and Taylor Richards. Fantastic signings are they not? Richards of course we signed injured and got Covid as soon as he stepped through the door. If he actually ever did step through the door.

  • The heart, the Passion but not the result

Sunday brought a must win game to the Blues ladies again fellow strugglers Leicester City. After a nervy start by Blues they began to take some control but with very few chances.

  • 3 Offside and a High Boot, that’s the name of Watto’s next book

Derby 2 Birmingham 2. Be honest prior to the game would that not have been an acceptable result? For 70 minutes the fact we played Derby off the park so much that the Sky-Sports Wayne Rooney love-in were coughing and spluttering onto their Ram shaped scripts. Wasn’t that a joy to behold after what we have been served up in recent weeks?

  • Black Cats bring Blues luck

On Sunday Lucy Whipp helped BCFC Ladies through to the next round of the women's FA Cup after coming up against a very tough black cats side. Sunderland started the game well and had the first shot of the game from Maria Farrugia from the left side of the box. Blues finally settled down and came back into the game with Emily Whelan had her shot blocked from 35 yards out. Sunderland again came back into the game with Holly Manders Right foot shot being easily dealt with.

  • From Fairs cup to Unfair comments

Well, it’s been quite a week since I last put my fingers to the key boards. It would be nice to start with the three games we played, the mixed fortunes and the wonderful protests which have seen our plight reach out to football’s communities around the world.

An Invite, An Insight and Some Positive Communication – Part 2

During the second half of the session at St Andrews, we talked about the current club financial situation, transfers and of course, ownership.

  • A Dream Start but a nightmare finish

A fantastic game but yet again blues collapsed. It started so well with Gemma Lawley getting on the end of a brilliant Lucy Quinn header for her first blues goal. 3 mins in and things looked rosie.

  • An Invite, An insight and some positive communication – Part 1

On Thursday evening Chris (AKA Mrs Brown ) and myself were invited to attend a media an fan meeting at St Andrews. The meeting was designed to provide some further clarity on the current situations and structure at the club and it didn't let us down.

  • Changes, Twitter bans, support the cause and Back Lee

I wanted to get my article in early this week as things are changing by the second. I also wanted to wait until the Preston result was known. Things always seem different after a decent performance. Last week’s farce against Plymouth ignited the sudden movement against our owners. They and Boris Johnson will be vying for the “who’s going first trophy!”(Have a couple of quid on Boris).

  • Pride, Passion, backing and #BSHLOUT

This weekend, the team showed the pride and passion for the shirt that we had been missing. It was great to see that despite being 1 goal down, we didn’t give up and in the end got what was deserved.
