  • Finally some good news !

e open on Saturday and the season ticket holders who have tickets for that area can return to their favourite seats. For all you who have bemoaning the lack of decent seats to purchase on the day now is your chance to get back to a proper football experience. Even better news is the club has taken up my Tilton Talk Show colleague Craig Courtney’s plea for a return of “KIDS FOR A QUID”. Yes, the idea propositioned on last Monday’s show has become reality!

  • Barry brightens up the week!

With the 0-3 drubbing by Forest still grating from last week we were forced to spend two weeks on an international break. With no Jude Bellingham in the side, I frankly lost any interest I might have had in the England game. I listened to the feeble excuses of G Southgate who left out the finest midfield player in Europe because he needed saving. The kid was on the form of his life and needed 2 international starts to establish himself as an England stalwart for the next 15 years and Captain of England’s next World Cup winning side.

  • The Charity drive hits 3rd gear

In June we set ourselves a target of following on from last season and raising as much money as possible. Well though your support we have been able to continue support many areas so far this season. We have helped Blake and his work raising money for defibrillator and we have supported PTSD UK.

Back in May we were blessed by the fact we had gone from certain relegation to safety with two games to spare. At that point our manager gave the major players early holidays and sent out a bunch of trialists to fulfil the fixtures.

  • Watto’s Weekly – Issue 2

When you sell out the away tickets and form close to half of the crowd at a ground where the hosts have not won all season, an own goal after 90 seconds is not the best idea. All the advantage, expectation Blues had was wiped away. I am always wary about the connection between crowd and the team. I am sure the team should inspire the crowd as the crowd can turn in moments. Blues fans on Saturday got behind the team in spite of the performance but defensive ineptitude lifted the Posh fans in a way they were not expecting. Hence the Blues fans power evaporated.

  • Watto’s Weekly – Issue 1

Hi Guys. Those of you who are as old as the main stand may remember my columns in ‘Blues News’ mainly when Trevor was in charge. If you don’t know who Trevor is then there is no hope. Peter Lewis was the editor to whom I am always grateful.
