  A sweet result against the Toffees

  Blues are through to the fifth round of the Women’s F.A Cup after beating WSL side Everton at Walton Hall Park this afternoon. A gutsy performance from the girls in royal blue helped to see off quality opposition. It was also congratulations to Abbi Jenner who made her first start for the club which was a big moment for her and the family

  I will travel 400 miles and I will travel 400 more

  Hi Bluenoses. On a scale of 1 to 10 how good are you feeling? Personally, I am a begrudging 2. I am sure my regular readers know that I have been watching Blues close to 64 years and now make a 400 mile round trip to every home game. I can hear your yawns going already. However in those 8 decades we have actually had relatively few owners.

  Blues first defeat at St Andrews in the league this season came this after against a really good Sunderland and the gaffer Mel Reay her and her team deserve all the credit today Blues on the another hand won’t at the races today . The only positive’s about today’s game is Harriett Scott getting her 100th appearance for the Blues and the return of Martha Harris coming back from her injury.

  Am I dreaming or is it a Saturday Game at home and 3pm

  A tricky Cup tie was successfully negotiated at Forest Green in the most inhospitable circumstances. The Vegan world that is the New Lawn in Nailsworth where the visiting fan can find no Bovril or milk produced from a cow is no place for a real football fan.

  Blues climb to 4th in the championship after a gritty 1-0 win against a really impressive Sheffield United who deserve more from the game. Claudia Walker played her first game back for blues after signing from West Ham and has already got her name on the scoresheet, which have delighted the blues fans their this afternoon.

  Festive season over now bring on Easter.

  I hope you all had a happy Christmas. I certainly did, Crisscrossing London on several occasions seeing the V&A Museum, The Carol service at the Royal Albert Hall, a local ‘Battle*’ in Isleworth where we had Christmas Dinner, and a visit to Plough Lane where the current Wimbledon FC ply their trade. A time with my son and time with the daughter and her two lovely daughters. Very nice indeed.

  8th at the festive break, what else is to come

  At last, there’s some meaningful Blues stuff to consider as the World Cup slowly fades from view. I actually have not seen a Final since 1970. The reason being that the final has been played on a Sunday since 1966 and I have been involved with cricket ever since. A winter World Cup should then be just the job. Sadly, it isn’t.
