  • Festive season over now bring on Easter.

I hope you all had a happy Christmas. I certainly did, Crisscrossing London on several occasions seeing the V&A Museum, The Carol service at the Royal Albert Hall, a local ‘Battle*’ in Isleworth where we had Christmas Dinner, and a visit to Plough Lane where the current Wimbledon FC ply their trade. A time with my son and time with the daughter and her two lovely daughters. Very nice indeed.

  • 8th at the festive break, what else is to come

At last, there’s some meaningful Blues stuff to consider as the World Cup slowly fades from view. I actually have not seen a Final since 1970. The reason being that the final has been played on a Sunday since 1966 and I have been involved with cricket ever since. A winter World Cup should then be just the job. Sadly, it isn’t.

  • Blues tame the terriers and into the next round

The Women in Royal Blue booked themselves in the 4th round of the F.A Cup Sunday afternoon after a comfortable win against Huddersfield Town and didn’t really look in trouble at any point. Blues secured a 4th Round game with Everton away from home on the January 29th.

  • back to back defeats in the conti cup

Blues suffer back to back defeats in the Conti Cup and are out finishing bottom of the group this afternoon and a sour taste for the end of 2022 former bluenose Sarah Ewen’s double gave the victory for the team down south and to be fair their fully deserved it .

latest Tilton Talk Show podcast has just dropped, our first show back after the World Cup break

  • Officiating poor again in Qatar and Blackpool. I know where they should stick some rock !

For the record its 17,45 and the England side has been announced with no changes. That means that Jude Bellingham the 19-year-old former academy player of Birmingham City will play. You are probably thinking that Watto has flipped his lid. You know all that don’t you? Apparently, there are people in the football world who don’t know this. I have upset a member of the Sky reporters’ team who showed his lack of knowledge regarding the Stourbridge super star. I suggested that this Spurs Supporter was a ‘know nothing Cockney’. This offended him as he said he was from Northern Ireland! Two out of three isn’t bad.

  • Three more points for the ladies and a clean sheet

Back to back clean sheets and more importantly back to back wins from the last two away games is a huge boost for the girls in royal blue and keeps us on track and 5 points behind the league leaders London City Lionesses .

  • Sale falling through and an apology to Gareth

Before we go into the big news of the day i.e., the takeover collapse I want to offer an apology. Gareth Southgate is a long- standing dislike of mine and one of my least likely choices to manage a whelk stall. It is therefore with great humility that I should apologize and congratulate him on ignoring the London media trying to influence his team selection.

  • Blues nailed by the Hammers

Blues first defeat in the Conti Cup against West Ham was disappointing but if you look at the stats blues had more shots on target more shots than the WSL side, so it is not so disappointing then it seems.
