Did better than I thought we would do and before the start of the game I would have been happy with a draw , disappointed to give away a 2.0 lead with 20 minutes to go but Ipswich are in second spot and way ahead of 3rd spot so this is definitely a result to build on and importantly as stopped the recent dismal results
The proof of the new era will be winning the next game and building on todays decent performance.
Laird motm by miles and game totally changed when he went off due to fatigue but great performance and good result could of held on but on to next game 💪👍💙KRO UTB
Battled and made Ipswich look an average team. Laird coming off upset the balance and conceding straight after increased the pressure. Not complaining at all point. Onto the next game

Laid MOM he was unbelievable today but dropping points from a winning positions is disappointing the games against Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham are key to see if Wayne Rooney has got the tactical knowledge to get us out of this predicament. Also mention to John Ruddy an unbelievable save from Broadhead’s lob . I take another point against Sunderland next week .
Great team performance for 75 mins against high flying Ipswich.

Just back from game,great first half but we should have finished them off while we were on top.Burke not really the answer at Centre Forward so guess Rooney will go for a new goalscorer in January.Bacuna had his best game ever in Blues shirt in first half but faded,James finally showed his potential I think when Hall and Buchanan come back and we get a new Goalscorer we will fly up the League.
Poor substitutions cost us today
I think he should have kept Drameh at LB and moved Aiwu to RB and brought on Long as CB. We seem to be conceding a lot of headed goals since Long has gone out of the side. Aiwu looks good but Long looked better. Drameh at fault for letting in another cross and no Long on the back post to head it away. We need both our first choice full backs back because the second choices aren’t up to scratch. I thought JJ was excellent and it was nice having the ball played forward instead of the usual sideways. Gutted not to win but we played very well until Laird went off.
Much better all round, Ipswich are a good side and we matched them for most of it. Playing the lads in their natural positions helped, More positives than negatives, improvement on the first 3 games for Rooney, January not too far away. I might be starting to believe !
I’d of took a point all day long, remember the second goal was a bit of luck for us, if that hadn’t of gone in we could of lost, thin margins in this league every game
