Watto talks UB40, JJ reaching the 100 club and Solihull Moors

Hi Bluenoses, everywhere.

What a week! In spite of visiting hospital this week for tests to find the cause of excruciating pain in my fat stomach and having had a rear wheel on my car stolen which I was unable to finance, the standout moment of this Easter week was Blues 1 Preston 0. The pain of my tum and losing of my car was completely relieved by Jay Stansfield’s excellent winner.

I have been humming UB40 tunes non-stop since Saturday even though I was unable to stay and watch live. I got back to Moor Street virtually alone and travelled in comfort on the London train. Keeping 20000 Blue noses in the Stadium for a couple of hours is a wonderful idea and should be encouraged!

As I sit and wait for the weekend’ s football to begin (Rotherham V Plymouth KO 20.00) I study the fixtures and tables to work out the what ifs at the end of tomorrow, We of course face leaders Leicester with few giving us much of a chance. Its rare that teams register three wins in one season over the same team and that and Blues improved belief give us the possibility of something at what ever Leicester call their ground these days.

Huddersfield v Millwall and QPR v Sheffield Wednesday jump off the page. It really goes against the grain to be backing any Cockney team and these two are particularly high on my not wanted list. After the two results in the smoke against this pair where injury time flooky efforts lead to our downfall, they kind of owe us a favour. Sadly, I suggest you don’t hold your breath.

Congratulations to Welsh International Jordon James who reached 100 appearances for us and was nominated as Championship Young Player of the Year. There is conjecture about whether he will be with us next year. I hope he stays but if he does go these stats will add to his value. The sales of Nathan Redmond, Demarie Gray, Jack Butland and the Bellinghams were daylight robbery. Don’t accept anything less than £15m with add ons such as £10,000 for every cap he wins.

Get on You Tube tomorrow for an instant review of the Leicester match, I would also like to wish Solihull Moors who face Bromley in the semifinal of the FA trophy, all the very best. May 11th is the final date

See Ya MONDAY

God Bless the Bluenoses
