So the club today announced the departure of John Eustace using a difference in approach as a reason. The full statement here
As a coach John took us on as we were at the lowest eb and brought the team back to firing. He installed a team ethic that will resonate for a long time. John and his backroom staff worked wonders on a shoestring and for this I thank them.
When the new owners came in they never said Eustace is our man or talked enhanced terms/extensions. The alarm bells for me were ringing then. New owners 99% of the time leads to new management and that’s what has happened.
We would like to place on record our thanks to John and Wait the clubs decision on the new manager.
As fans we have trusted the decisions of the new owners and board so far, we need to continue doing this and trust that this is the correct route.

I hope whoever gets the job continues with the “ all in it together “ attitude that J E built ,also the passion and never say die attitude . Thank you John for guiding us through the dark times of last season and for also showing appreciation to us fans every game . You are a top bloke and you know that this is how football works nowadays .You will get a top job for certain . Thanks KRO
Thank you John for all you have done you will be a big sucess wherever you go.
l am not shocked,l think the writing was on the wall as soon as the takeover but why not install a new Manager/Coach then.??? Cannot understand why the owners have waited and risked a fan backlash, crazy timing.
A total disgrace John Eustace seemed to have the Blues general going in the right direction
