United prove to be a hand-full
BCFC Ladies updates in association with Garrison Coffee company
After the unbelievable effort from the girls last week beating the gunners you thought we go into this game in confidence but yet again we look a lack of confidence after the first goal went in.
The Reds were on fire
The reds were simple stunning and exposed are game plan from the start to finish and ripped us apart in with three goals in six minutes with player of the match leah galton setting up katie zelem and then scoring two herself it couldn’t get worse could yes Emily ramsey own goal was game over even she couldn’t do nothing rebounding off the crossbar onto the back of her and tricking over the line.
Louise Quinn had the only shot with a thunderbolt from outside of the box rebounding of the bar but two shots from our last two away games against United and Leicester respectively is just not good enough. In the 71st minute Alessia Russo’s diving header was the only goal in the second half as Man United continued to dominate with their outstanding quality. Marc Skinner’s side was simply stunning and in the next couple of years will win the league .
What would I change?
For Blues I think we need to change the formation away from home and be more combative maybe a 4411. We have conceded 25 goals in12 games which simply isn’t good enough and Leicester have got a better goal difference has us we need more points to stay in the WSL.
Up next the Ladies play Reading away before a league break for FA cup duty against Sunderland at St Andrews. Then comes what could be a season defining game against our follow midland strugglers Leicester City who have a game in hand over us against Brighton om 16th January.
We need that same commitment and passion shown against Arsenal to give us a helping hand. We at Tilton Talk want to help the ladies as much as possible so we have sourced some tickets for the game against Leicester. Watch out for a special ticket giveaway coming up soon.
