Barry brightens up the week!

With the 0-3 drubbing by Forest still grating from last week we were forced to spend two weeks on an international break. With no Jude Bellingham in the side, I frankly lost any interest I might have had in the England game. I listened to the feeble excuses of G Southgate who left out the finest midfield player in Europe because he needed saving. The kid was on the form of his life and needed 2 international starts to establish himself as an England stalwart for the next 15 years and Captain of England’s next World Cup winning side.

I don’t trust Southgate quite frankly and I see the continued lack of game time for Jude as some sort of anti-foreign bias. Maybe it’s a plot to get him back in England because should he be in one of the top sides or in a London team he could never be left out. Why should he lower his sights when he could pick any side in Europe?

I did accidently switch on to the highlights of the Andorra farce late in the game. The first thing I saw was you-know-who falling flat on his face. Cheating against Andorra is not what we really need is it?

What Mondays are for

Monday night’s Tilton Talk show was an absolute humdinger! After a weekend without our Blues’ fix, we had Barry Fry to brighten our grim week. If you missed it get onto Facebook or YouTube and catch up. What struck me about him was how genuine he is. He was his usual outlandish self of course but our wonderful team of interviewers and the Blues fans on line, got in some excellent and more searching questions. Barry was honest and gave up some real detail in his answers which I had never heard before. Thanks Baz, it was just like having him our own living rooms.

Finally, a big shout for the BCFC women’s team who opened their account with a 1-1 draw at West Ham. I have to say I was concerned with the girls not being able to cope in the WSFL which is improving rapidly. Most teams have bigger budgets than Blues and have nicked most of our players, coaches and administrators.

Sunday’s performance was one of real quality and well worthy of at least a point. You can follow them on Facebook at Brighton on Wednesday night in the Continental Cup tie.

Baggies on Friday live on Sky. Trains won’t get me home after the game so I am in front of the box. Give us a wave guys! #KRO
